mission
People of the Environment is an undergraduate club at Columbia University dedicated to engaging students and local communities in environmental humanities by facilitating discussion and publishing an annual magazine. We embrace the interdisciplinary character of both nature and human nature and aim to foster dialogue across diverse perspectives and backgrounds.
impact
We seek to learn from and connect with the Columbia community as well as local artists, writers, and leaders. Together, we hope to highlight the wholly human aspects of the environment at Columbia, in New York City, and beyond. Through an open dialogue, POTE aims to deepen relationships among individuals and with the environment.
